We have an open PhD position starting from 1 September 2026 as part of a collaborative excellence project with the groups of Andrea Caviglia and Felix Baumberger, supported by the Foundation for the University of Geneva through the Geneva Quantum Center.
Strain and Vacuum-Fluctuation Engineering of Quantum Matter
The planned research in my group will centre on the growth, patterning, and scanning probe microscopy characterisation of the mechanical and electrical properties of thin ferroelectric films and membranes, focusing in particular on domains, domain walls, and topologically non-trivial emergent polarisation textures.
